Rest. Reflect. Reconnect.

We are a group of experienced therapists, educators and professionals with extensive knowledge and expertise across a range of areas, including depression, anxiety, stress, relationships, grief and trauma, as well as business relationships, collaboration and communication.

About the Retreat

Life A Plenty Charitable Trust Women's Retreats are a service provided specifically for women within the Tauranga and wider Bay of Plenty region (see boundaries here), who have been recommended a period of rest and recuperation by a health professional.

The fully funded retreats provide the opportunity for women to take a break from their day-to-day activities in order to replenish their mind, body and spirit, and at the same time receive support to make positive changes in their lives. The retreats also provide a safe and secure environment for participants to experience complete rest in a quiet, reflective atmosphere.

The Retreat Experience

Each retreat follows a gentle rhythm designed to help women rest, reflect, and reconnect.

Arrival / Welcome

Participants are welcomed into a peaceful, natural setting where they can settle, are supported to feel safe, and begin to unwind.

Group Connection

Two facilitated workshops each full day help participants build rapport, add tools to their kete, and connect through shared experiences.

Reflection & Healing

Guided activities encourage personal reflection, creativity, and gentle emotional healing. You may find that you are more connected to yourself.

Follow Up Support

Participants leave with
new tools to continue their wellbeing journey and, hopefully, new connections. Our facilitators follow up every participant three months after their retreat.

Why a Retreat?

“For many women, this is life-changing.”

Are you ready for a retreat?

There is a selection process to going on a fully funded Life A Plenty retreat. We always have more applicants than places. We never have repeat customers, so it's important that this is the right timing for you.

  • You may have increased levels of stress and exhaustion, but are not in crisis or living in constant trauma.
  • You have completed or are engaged in one-to-one work with a supporting professional.
  • You have gained some level of stability in terms of housing, mental health and crisis stressors.
  • You are at a point where you are able to take on new ideas for growth, and are seeking change to manage life differently.
  • You are able to organise care for any dependents and feel confident to leave them.

Talk with your supporting health professional, if this is right for you.

What Women Say About the Retreat

“I have found my silly side again.”

I came here because I have been strong for too long without rest. I want to release the guilt, soften the self-judgement, and learn how to be as kind to myself as I am to everyone else.

This has been the reset I have longed for. The tools and the chats will stay with me for life.

Next Retreat
